Our daily compromise

One of my favourite vintage dresses is this high-collared mustard and black chiffon baby that I altered. It was actually my mum's from the 80's (hurrah for cool mums), an ankle length linear monstrosity that was not very easy on the eye to say the least. There's a picture of her in an old album, wearing it while she was pregnant with me, apparently the willowy-ness was perfect for hiding the baby bump haha. She will destroy me and my blog if I put it up, so it shall remain unseen for now :)

I chopped most of the length off and added some elastic for a bubble effect, both for aesthetic purposes and so the thin fabric won't fly up when it's windy. 

Added my favourite skinny black and gold vintage belt to cinch in the waist, and the whole outfit made me feel a bit like Mozart. But then again, he didn't have hot 6 inch heels!
